Zelda Fan Made Game

This Zelda fan made game was made using the Unity Engine and was created with the programming language C#. It took me approximately 3 months to create and it was created for an assignment well I was attending Toronto Film School. The reason for choosing to create a Zelda fan made game over the other choices we had to choose from was that I always loved the Zelda series. They gave us a huge list of 2D games to create and picking Zelda was an easy choice for me. This game has a lot of similarities to the original game by using assets from sprites resource and using similar controls to the original game.

Game Vision

I built this game as a prototype to progress my skills in the C# programming language. It allowed me to improve my coding skills and I had learned a lot from creating this game. The vision for the game was to make it as close to the original as I can and to understand how games were built and constructed from the older generations

Game Details

In my Zelda fan made game, you are able to move around with the arrow keys and right click using the mouse to shoot swords at your enemies. You are in a graveyard with link and must get past the enemies. By using pickups and your own knowledge of the controls, the player will battle there way to the end of the level. There are three pickups, that you can collect. There is the coin, which allows the player to double jump. The potion that allows you to gain a life and boots that increases the players movement speed.

Game Mission

The mission for this game was to create a remake of a 2D game that was developed by Nintendo. Choosing Zelda was a very easy choice for me, my choice motivated me to wanna work on this project and complete my mission of having a remake of the older zelda games.
